No braids for now, just me, my 'fro, and my braces.
I am always mistaken for being a teen in high school. It is utterly frustrating! I am a twenty-one year old woman who has achieved so much this year but, especially this summer alone. Don't get me wrong, I am forever grateful that I look younger than my age, but I want to be seen as the sophisticated, sexy, edgy, educated woman I know I am and not be seen as a raging hormonal teen. I know I'm not that 'old', but Its time for people to see me in a more mature way. Recently I have decided to redo my wardrobe (Shopping!!!!). After all, how can I want to be seen as a woman still dressed in clothes that make me look like a kid.
I got this dress from Target. I had intended this dress to be used as some sort of vest or duster, but I guess it can be used as both a dress and a duster. The shoes are BCBGeneration from the Nordstrom Rack. The clutch (aka the weapon of mass destruction) is from Aldo, the bracelet is from H&M. My earrings were picked up from my local beauty store.
I hope you guys have been enjoying my fashion collages. Sorry I have been a no show, but this summer I've been so busy, I didn't have much time to take pictures of myself. I will be posting a natural hair journey soon. Its crazy how much my 'fro has grown in just nine months. Would you believe that my head was shaved with a patch of hair in the center?
